Prepping Your Pup: What to Bring to Your Pet Photoshoot
So, you’ve booked your pet photoshoot - yay! Now you’re probably wondering what you actually need to bring along to make the most of your session. Don’t stress, I’ve got you covered. Here’s a quick guide to help you prep for the big day.
1. Book your session
This is the easy part. Pick your package, lock in your date, and you’re halfway there to creating beautiful memories with your furry friend.
2. Come to your photoshoot
Arrive a few minutes early so your pup can have a sniff around and settle in. My studio is a calm, pet-friendly space, and we’ll take our time so nobody feels rushed.
3. Bring their favourite treats
A handful of their absolute favourite snacks can work wonders for getting their attention (and rewarding them for being such a good model).
4. Don’t forget their favourite toy
A squeaky ball, a well-loved teddy, or even a tug toy can help bring out those happy, playful expressions we all love to see in photos.
5. A collar and lead
Because we are shooting in our secure studio, there is no need for a collar or lead when you’re inside. It might however help when we are in the studio space to ge them to stay still though!
6. Any special outfits or accessories
If you’ve got a cute bandana, bow tie, or birthday hat, bring it along! Personal touches make your photos extra special.
7. A quick brush
If your dog sheds or has a fluffy coat, giving them a quick brush before arriving can help them look their best in the spotlight.
Most importantly, bring yourselves. Your pup feels safest with you nearby, and some of the best photos happen when you jump in the frame for a cuddle or two. Everything else we can work around on the day - the goal is to keep it relaxed, fun, and full of wagging tails.
